Welcome to Abigail Scott Duniway Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR). The Abigail Scott Duniway Chapter, NSDAR, was chartered on October 4, 2003, and is one of the thirty-one chapters in Oregon. The chapter draws members from the Marion County area and meets on the first Monday of each month, September through May.

Our chapter namesake is Abigail Scott Duniway, a dedicated and determined pioneer for women’s suffrage in Oregon.

If you are a woman eighteen years or older, regardless of your race, religion, or ethnic background, who can prove lineal descent from a patriot who provided aid to the American Revolution, you are eligible for DAR membership.  Abigail Chapter volunteers can help you research and complete your genealogy to apply for DAR membership. A complete list of eligibility information is available on the NSDAR “Become A Member” webpage.

For more information on how to become a member of DAR, email our chapter, or you can click on the contact link up above, to send us a message. We are honored to introduce new members to the NSDAR organization and its many ways of bettering our communities and nation. More information may be found at either the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) website or the Oregon State Society DAR (OSSDAR) website.
