Welcome to Abigail Scott Duniway Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, (NSDAR or DAR). The Abigail Scott Duniway Chapter, NSDAR, was chartered on October 4, 2003, and is one of the thirty chapters in Oregon. The chapter draws members from the Marion County area and meet September through May.

Our chapter namesake is Abigail Scott Duniway, a dedicated and determined pioneer for women’s suffrage in Oregon.

Interested in becoming a member of NSDAR? Abigail Chapter volunteers can help you to apply for DAR membership and research your genealogy. "In order to be eligible for membership, a woman must be 18 years of age or older, and provide proof of lineal, bloodline descent from an ancestor who contributed to                                                                                                             the achievement of American independence." A complete list of eligibility                                                                                                                      information is available on the NSDAR “Become A Member” webpage.

For more information on how to become a member of DAR, email our chapter, or you can click on the contact link up above, to send us a message. We are honored to introduce new members to the NSDAR organization and its many ways of bettering our communities and nation. More information may be found at either the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) website or the Oregon State Society DAR (OSSDAR) website.
